A 10 min firewall software upgrade took me 1.5 days and shut my whole network down and had to reconfigue everyones machine.....only to get back where I started with much pain and all this effort.

I missed a night of fishing for this crap!

Next week I have to try it again...ugh.

Did you ever have one of those days...."oh, this looks like a nice feature...probably should upgrade, should take about 10 min.....then...I get a phone intercom message from my kid...DAD!! what happend to the internet?....uhhhhhh, give me a minute.....then 1.5 days later email and connection is finally re-established with much pain. When email does reconnt of course I have 2 urgent emails that needed reply befor COB friday...jez! I would have been better off not walking into my office on friday and just went fishing instead. My dchp sever just does not work anymore. I reconfig'ed everything manually. Worked for the last 4 years now...bubkis.

Lesson: don't upgrade anything on a workday.
