Annisquam River

My father is vistiting The North Shore for the first time. He asked me of a few spots he could try to catch some fish. Can anyone help me. He said he was staying near Annisquam River and the Harbor. I live in Weymouth so I'm not familiar with this area. If you don't want to post exact spots please P.M. me. I will be respectful all the information I get. I will repay the favor if I can. Thanx in advance.....Quick Decision

thats why they call it fishing not catching

I fish the area all the time and have lived here all my life. What does he want to catch and what will he be using for tackle? I will try to help if you can tell me these. Stripers are cool right now and might need a boat- no blues yet- water temp still not much above 50 a month from now would be different you can also try this more local web site www.surfcaster.com I hope not offend any one on this site but this a more local site for us on the north shore. Good luck and let me know what i can do to help i will do my best. If he wants to go out on a boat i might be able to take him out in 10 days or so-

re: Annisquam River

Thanks for the info about the fishing spots. I am staying at the Cape Ann Marina Resort and hope to get a striper fishing from shore. Will look for the Candy Store. May do some casting at Castle Rock.

If you want try taking a trip to plum island. go to the very end and use a 4 oz weight wih chunks of hearing. their are a few bait shop on th island and ask in their where they are hitting. Water Temp is still cold. When are you leaving. another good spot is singing beach in manchester Ma. a great town to visit also. Salem Beverly bridge at nite is great. If you want to catch macks go to light houe in Glouster. Enjoy your vacation and if you want to hook up sometime to go fishing on a boat i can do it the week after next- would enjoy the company- i have a 24 foot WA and go out of Beverly. i dont mind at all. All my freinds have jobs and weeki days before summer is hard to find a fishing mate.
