Went out with my neighbor who is just getting into fishing, he has a 28 foot pro line and we launched out of clinton ct. We went out to six mile reef and as soon as we cleared the fog I spotted some birds and took the boat over, sure enough it was all blues for acres just going wild on silversides, between the three of us, we must of landed 50 of them all on hopkins, I threw poppers at them but I was getting anything till I put on a spoon.

We got sick of the blues, so we trolled around with shad body rigs and we got into some heavy action with stripers, dave the guy who owns the boat got 3 13,14,18,. His brother in law jimmy got 4 14,15,16,19.

Well then it is my turn and I drive the boat to a different spot and drop the rig and put the boat into gear and I grab the rod after about 5 minutes I had one on.....biggest fish of the year for my so far, 28 pounds....wow it was a dam good day out there, may go back out friday.

I know I took the bass down to the river and that all everyone was talking about, I heard something big when I had my back turned and I was cutting the fish, let me know if u want to go tommorow morning, I dont have to go to school, DAM THIS SUNBURN HURTS

Probably taking the morning off tomorrow. My body doesn't bounce back like it used to. Two days in a row really kicks my a$$. Wednesday I'll go though. Give me a call.
