179, SW Ledge in a 18'-5" boat? May the winds remain light and your VHF signal remain strong.

I'm going to take the boat (20' Maritime) out of Saybrook CT Sunday morning for some eel tossing into the rocks.

I swore last year that I would never do this again, but I'm going whitewater rafting this weekend. I got my butt kicked on the Penobscot in Maine during some high water and world class rapids... but I really had fun and the Kennebeck is pretty tame.

The camp is on a lake and they have canoes so I'm taking a rod and may give some smallies a try. I went out on a school night for some stripers earlier this week and took a skunk in dead calm conditions. Not even a hit. So, I can use a weekend off from the salt.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Jeff,
If I remember the Maritime skiff has short sidewalls on it right? My boat has the deep v hull which gives it a pretty smooth dry ride,

The Block Island trip is not bad at all as long as you head back by 10:00-11:00 am before the winds kick up. I have made the trip a half dozen times without any problems at all. Just watch the weather and winds, if it starts to get rough head back!!!!

Hell I see guys making the trip in 13' whalers! haha

Hi Guys,
Going out to my hot-spot on the Northshore of MA. I was out there on Tuesday, no dice.
Hopefully, the weather change bodes well for me.
Leaving @ 6 AM tomorrow, so I've got to get some sleep.
Good Luck Everybody,
Later,
Rick

Hi Guys and gals, I have been away for a week in NC and just got back. Long ride, we went by way of the bay bridge tunnel and I think we should've stayed on 95. Had fun fishing last weekend but not catching, only got 1 small king mac and reeled in some sand sharks when changing baits. That kingfishing is so different than striper fishing. While we were there someone got a 40 plus pound king mac off the Atlantic beach pier, hard enough to do from a boat let alone a fixed pier.
I hope to recover from my trip tonight and maybe hit the canali tom. night at sundown.

wow, do I have alot of catching up to do both reading here and work.
