will be fishing plum island saturday 8/4 need info

a buddy and i will be going to plum island fishing 8/4 never been there, and need info of where to go when is best and what i should use for bait (stripers) i would really apprec. the any info you could give me, thanks brian

Me and my friend caught a 33in striper by using a 2oz weight and frozen mackel. Almost rear the mouth of the river. It was low tide too. We also went at night, and caught two 28" at high tide. So I guess it all depends on the time/place/tide.

I will more then likely be fishing down there on saturday myself. I live right up the street
