Slips around Quincy.

So, my wife has not only green-lighted a boat, but is also straight up calling for one. I have way too much on my plate right now to buy one for this season, but I'm planning on buying one over the winter. However, I don't really have a place to keep a boat on a trailer, and I don't want a mooring. Therefore, I need to find a slip, and I'd like to start working on it soon. I live in Quincy, and am looking for a slip for a 19-21 foot boat. Where should I look? What's a good deal? Does everywhere have a waiting list?

Marina Bay comes to mind. Nice place - not cheap, but its close.

I know a charter captain who launches from there.

Beware the cute black & white dog where you fuel up - its like to knaw on rubber products!

town river - right behind Sportman's Den. Pro's: ramp right there, short walk from parking to boat, - draw backs: long slow run to open water. lack of security.

I heard Captains Cove (Quincy) has available slips.
With the cost of gas this year, the chances are most likely better getting a slip than most years.
Expect to pay over $100.00 a ft.

I gave up my slip at Town River Marina (behind Sportsman Den-Quincy). It may still be available. Price is around 75/foot.

Things done at the last possible minute are done with the greatest possible information. Procrastination is, therefore, the most efficient means of doing things.
