Just heard on the news that the government will be testing a new type of GPS system on the week of the 20th of June!!!!

they claim that it may only effect boats from South Carolina to Florida and may have to rely on dead reckoning and or boat compass!!!

We up here in the north should remember the week of the 20th "JUST" in case your machine fails!!!!

I read the same thing. There's a good reason not to ditch the compass as many have suggested in the past.
