Lure?

I purchased a bomber minnow lure. It's a see-threw looking minnow with a split before it's tail. So it actually swims Anyone use this before or anything like it? I'm trying it out of stripers. I also got a herrin lure. Same question on that.

Bombers are great lures. The ones used are Bomber 16A (6 inch shallow runner) and sometimes the Bomber 17A (7 inch shallow runner). The jointed ones are Bomber 16J and Bomber 17J

The only complaint against these lures is they are hard to cast because they are large compared to their weight. The 6 inch solid bomber weighs 7/8 oz. The 6 inch jointed weighs in at an oz. The 7 inch ones weigh a little more. I believe most guys use the 6 inch solid ones because they cast a little better.

The see through color should work. The most often colors used are black and school bus. I think the school bus one is known as XPYG. Not sure though.

You'll find the bomber 16A in just about every bag of serious striper fishermen.
