Hey Vec....
Doesn't Eagle Marine, or 3A Marine, deal in Evinrudes? I'd start there since they are local to you. I bought mine at Ship Shops in South Yarmouth, and I recommend them for service, but they aren't exactly close to you.
What happened by the way??? You just got in from 23 miles out and it just blew or what? What year is your 'Rude?

Hooper I have mixed emotions about Eagle Marine. I was out fishing the bank with wifey and she wanted to walk around P-town so we went in and of course the place was a zoo so we said forget it, as I was leaving the harbor we went to get up on plane and the boat shuttered with a klank sound, I backed right off and lifted the motor looked it over nothing, was like we hit something in the water, so I drop it back in fire it up and try again about 3000 rpm's klank, so I throw down the hammer to get it on plane and it klanks one right after another so now I am like uh oh it's gonna be a long ride home at 2500 rpms and we go off heading home at 10 knots after 45 minutes or so and burning off some fuel I decide I will try and just tap it until we get on plane so I baby the throttle with love taps with a large pause in between and lo and behold I get it on plane and we cruised all the way to the ramp without moving or touching anything. I pulled the plugs and saw some shiney metals not big or anything and the oil was dark and smelled burned .99 225 Ficht, I would guess this season I have close to 100 hours already so I guess I was due for something.

Millway Marina in Barnstable or Ship Shops in Yarmouth are both first class OMC repair shops.
