the 9M-LH is out of stock.
makes me ask... how many of you use left hand retrieve?

Standard below the rod spinning reels seem to be left hand retrieve. I have been looking at baitcasting reels for freshwater and they all tend towards right hand retrieve.

why are top of the rod reels right hand retrieve and bottom of the rod reels left hand ??

Is there something different about how you hold/use the rod and reel?

There is a fine line that seperates a fisherman from a fool standing in water swinging a stick.

not really for casting...

In my opinion. My question is.... where do they come off calling these "mag" reels. They do not have magnetic cast control to my knowledge. I own a 209MS and it's just your standard levelwind reel. Great for horsing just about anything that swims in these waters over the rail. Like I said, I own one but if you think you're getting a Penn version (cheaper) ABU casting reel then you've got another thing coming.

The "9" series of reels aren't really for casting. Nice slow retrieve, plenty of strength, they are good for bottom fishing and will stand up for a while.
