Rechargeable Batteries

I got some rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries for my wife's digital camera. When I went to recharge them in my recharger, I noticed there was a warning that it was only for Nickel Cad batteries. Does anyone know if the warning is for people who try to recharge a regular battery? Or can I recharge the NiMH's in it? I'm not much of a wiz when it comes to batteries, but would like to avoid a house fire if I can.

Different re-chargers are made for different batteries. I have a charger that will re-charge both types of batteries. Some chargers are made for only one type of battery. Also, don't put a regular battery in the re-charger....Bang!

A place like radio shack or wally world will have the chargers that are compatible for both....not very expensive.
