Fishing clubs

I want to join a club to learn from the old timers and maybe compete in some tounaments. ANy advice on some good ones in the narragansett area???

Chef, hang out aroung the Gansett seawall and manahan's dock at sunrise and sunet. look for the older guys, they'll teach you stuff. They taught me:

Yeah i learned quite a bit last fall at the seawall. This one old guy 2 feet 2 my left caught about 27 fish to my 0. He showed me how to use cocahoes for the first time, i must have cycled through everything i had, but all they wanted was the glow cocahoe. The oldtimer was nice enough to give me a jig head and 2 cocahoes. I caught 3 fish that night before it shut off.
