So, How Ya Hittin' Them?

Just wondering - anybody knockin' 'em dead?

Newport's slow - east wind ain't helping much either although that's gonna change real soon.

Went out last night at *******'*, beeyoootiful white water but a little thin in the large fish dept. There were smaller fish around, the only thing working was an olive/white 2 oz Habs on a slightly faster than usual retrieve - which they seemed to be absolutely nuts about - my personal favorite too

Anybody doing anything, before or during the easterlies?

Oh yeah, is anybody else seeing sandeels around? We haven't had them around here like this in many moons...

I have been doing well at first light up til 7AM in the local harbor. Caught a personal best 41" 26lber this week and have seen similar fish taken as well. So many big fish in the harbor that I have not been able to pry myself away from it to fish my ususal shore spots...

surf fishin' sucks right now in a big way 1 or 2 qual /skinny fish here and there. no bunched up cows.
Boat fishin' is great but the fish are fat /short 30 -38" but theres a ton of them. so light tackle boat fishin has been fun

CATCHIN A 50 IS LIKE GETTIN POISON IVY ON YOUR MANHOOD..........IT TAKES A LONG TIME BEFORE YOU CAN BEAT IT!!!!

No sense chasing dinks the drive isnt worth it right now, working on finishing some plugs for my bags, outfitting the yak, tying up loose ends. When the bigguns arrive, loose ends will have already been tied, yak outfitted and ready to roll and the bags will be full... Oh and the livewell.. definitely have to finish that up Heading out tonight to visit the osprey

Domination takes full concentration..
