I Should Be Fishing !
I should be fishin, BUT Im tying up Atlantic Salmon Flys. some guy came over an said I here you tie flys,I said ( when ever I catch 'em), that went over his head, so he's got this fly that has been catching Atlantic's when no one else has, even the guide he was w/ couldent catch any, but THIS FLY DOES he says. can you tie some up for me.  you don't have to ask me twice,$$$$ I love the green stuff,. what do you call it Iasked , DON'T know hasen't got a name.HUMMMMM! it soon will.did him up a DOZ. an today he's back an want s more. guess Ill have to tie some up for ME, to keep.

Don't have any atlantics around here, but i catch stocked landlockeds in the rivers and ponds.
I thought they were only up in maine?

Afterhours, never thought of that, I use to be up there every weekend,from Sept-May. BUT Idon't know if you can use a DOUBLE HOOK in the river.

saltydog, i think your right about double hook in river, probably snag. maybe single hook with a few wraps of lead. last i heard, they also had a few atlantics/ landlocks returning to salmon river. i've used salmon flies there with good results along with golden and black stonefly nymps.
