Question Block Island a good idea?

Was thinking about heading to Block tomorrow night or the next. Was gonna sling eels for linesiders (of course)....
Has anyone heard about the dogfish or blues still taking over around the island?,,,, I know no one can read the future...just would hate to waste the time, fuel and bait if I should stay closer in. Any advice would be appreciated..

If it turns around south/southwest it is a good idea. If not, no.

They have been taking some nice bass around the island. Doggies aren't a problem, but some big blues have started to move in. Bring plenty of eels.
