Pre-Storm Fishing

Well, did the pre-storm fishing live up to everyones expectations? Surf was up Saturday night on the drop where I was but nothing huge. Fishing was lock and load for several hours Saturday night 1 1/2 smilin bills with red pork rind 80% bass 20% blues with several fish in the high teens.

Was a stupid night a fish every cast or in the lulls every other cast. I had to leave after 5 hours because my hands were torn to shreds. One of those special nights where you cant do anything wrong. The fish were so keyed on peanuts and so dense waves would roll in an drop 100 fish on the rocks until the next wave took them out again.

The pre storm fury was amazing. The strippers were running the beach BEAUTIFULLY. Was the best night of fishin in Rhody that I have ever had. God bless Dow Chemical.

I have never seen such fine lassess, going after our tackle with near reckless abandon, but the hook was really never set. May have been the best Rhody night I've ever had too.

Things to add to Rhody gear list.
1. Camera for those catch and release moments.

2. Hand gaff so ya don't lose the big ones draggin em in.
3. Hook cutters.... Self explanatory.
What a great night.

Saturday am C-town Breachway was loaded with bass. 30-40" fish everywhere in the channel.

Goosefish - there was only enough for two people, though plenty of fish for all of us ... It was a LOT of fun

Topwater and I fished Race Point down to high Head...

No Bass to be found ...a few Rat Blooos but that was that

We fished right up until the storm hit

Pretty dissapointing

No Bait seen either

lots of seals

Pat,
Looks like we should have gone South. I got 3 rat blues after you left.

Finally got to bed around 8PM
