It's a boy, it's a girl, it's a

boy, it's another girl...I've lost the head count , but we have 10 golden retreiver pups at this point. Anyone looking let me know, mostly dark golden I think, but it's hard to tell at this point...just a mass of wet little bodies .

Looks like I better get out my Lynard Skynard and start listening to "That Smell", because it's only going to get worse now . That's it for this mommy, it's her third and she's ready for retirement now. She's been a great mom, but you could tell she was a little tired after 6, you think you girls would be LOL.

May put a crimp in my getting down to fish with Mike, but maybe Friday. I got your message Mike and will be in the office tomorrow all day. Try me when you get a minute.

I wish, not likely thou, but maybe Friday. I heard from the grapevine that Duxbury was heating up, Pete said a friend had 80 fish in 2 days...all on sluggos. Could be those fish are south already and it's not going to be like last year. I'm not going to loose any sleep over it, got to get ready for Maine.

GS, congrats. I am truly envious of you. Puppies are great. It's sad seeing them grow up though.

I wish I could take one off your hands when they get weened. I couldn't imagine what struggles you are going to have when you have 10 golden pups running around. I hope the mother is doing fine. Try to get some pictures for us okay? Would love to see them.

I'm a dog lover myself. I have a black lab mix that's around 8 and a cat that's around 15 or 16.

The dog was rescued after a jerk threw her and 5 sisters in the trash. Some breeders told us she might have brain damage from seperation and all. Luckily the group had a nursing dog that made a good surrogate for them. She isn't bright but she's loveable.

The cat is a great one too. He's old but he still has bounds of energy. He doesn't get around as much as he used to but he likes to play now. He lounges around with me. The one problem is he has a small overbite so he drools if he gets comfortable.

Don't mind the couch. My parents got that when my oldest brother was born. He was 27 on Sept. 4. so go figure.

Mindi asked that I attach her pet pics too. She has two rats Calvin and Bear. Calvin is the hairless one and Bear is the one with the hair.

Thumbs up congrats from another golden lover

being the proud owner of my third golden, i send you my best wishes and may even be interested in a female. i recommend from experience that you go out and get a cheap/used play pen to keep the pups in at night, and hose it out as needed, worked pretty good at keeping them under control.

Congrats on the puppies GS. I love dogs and cats.

Since were're on the subject .... I have a new cat. My old cat died and I got another one at the animal shelter. Another short haired tortoise shell. After spending all morning trying to catch a cat that was living under a dumpster at Ann & Hope (including trying to net it with my herring net! ) , I finally gave up and went to the shelter. Its a small shelter and they had just 3 cats. One was a tortie which is exactly what I wanted. Her name is Pika (peeka) as in Pikachu but only just Pika like in mega , giga , terra , pika.

Mrs GS sets the price, as they are her babies, which is very evident when it comes time to let them go...many tears are shed. I believe they will be up around $600 this year, inflation you know . You won't find better socialized pups though, they are raised under foot, with 3 other dogs and a constant stream of kids. A step up from your typical kennel dogs, just because of the constant loving my wife & kids heap on them every day.

Right now they are in a swimming pool in the downstairs bathroom. They make great welping boxes, even the large breeds fit ok and the pups can't get out for a while. Then the bathroom has a tile floor, which makes morning cleanups easier....but not a breeze. That's when the song "That Smeel" should be playing, because 10 pups running around in a confinded space with pop/piddle around, well let's just say you take a big breath and just get to it . I've got a great male and most of the pups from these two have looked more like him, big head, strong, but a disposition like a big 80 lb baby. He's a charmer and does all our selling for us, his commission is lot's of leftover steak, hamburg and many when we have striper....yea he likes his fish.

Clamdigger, give me a call, although right now I feel like crap....have summer cold....hate summer colds.
