The New Lure idea

Oh yes, a few busts never holds me back.

As a person that is limited to how many plugs he can carry, I was thinking of a way that can maximize space in my plug bag.

The problem I saw is I have to carry plugs for every spot I plan to hit. This can mean fast water, slow water, deep and shallow water. I need plugs that do well in all those areas.

The other problem I saw were great lure designs that dive too deep such as the Windcheater. My favorite plug. It dives way too deep. So what, I carry some bombers, mambo minnows, and redfins? That's going to take up so much space.

So I was thinking. Uh oh. But this one I think is pretty good. How about a changing lip system? I'm still working on some pictures to pitch at companies. Basically, there is a little hollow lip with a square piece cut out. Then, you slide a lip in and a plastic spring, built into the insertable lip, pops into place. If you don't like that lip or it's not working for you, you press the spring down, pull out the lip and slide in the new lip you want.

The good thing about this, the lips, when form molded, have the depths imprinted on the lip so you know how deep it will dive.

I'll have drawings done at a later date.
