first shark tag return

date caught by my boat: 8/19/02
date recaptured:6/26/04
96" male blue shark tagged off wildcat knoll.
recaptured 104.5" male blue shark. on a longline off "olha dos flores"{azores-spain}

time at liberty 677 days
distance traveled 1330 n.m.

kool chit huh?
i don't get the hat though
my buddy is in charge of all the tags.

First shark tag returned

Salt, you can get tags by wrighting to NMFS, Apex Predators Program 28 Tarzwell Dr. Narragansett, RI 02882 or you can call 401-782-3320.
It's a pritty cool thing to do and your catching the sharks already so why not do something for science.

great. Thanks for the info. I've gotten a few tag's back from stripers in the past. It's pretty cool to see where they have been and how far they have travelled.

Gonna give it another try on saturday. Hopefully we'll have more luck than before. Again any tips or locations that have been productive lately is appreciated.
