Anybody have any experience with these plugs? Do they hold up to abuse?

Nice plug, super slow retrieve. More than 1 truly large have been taken on it.Sometimes no retrieve at all.As long as you feel it thumping it is working its tail.

plastic lip may break if you use it on rocks, they hold up well on the sand and cast remarkably well for a jointed plug. If the lip breaks, you can always make a metal lip, I have done that.
I fish them super slow, it doesn't take much of a retrieve to get it wiggling.

lips and eyes, both easy fixes, like slip said, cut a piece of sheet metal or sheet brass to shape, screw on. eyes will come off, don't need them , it's the throb that the fish key on, but your could just stick new eyes on.
bait shack had a good selection a week or so ago, when I was in there

The key to using them as mentioned above is the retrieve....really slow....I tried them once on wire line and even at 1.5 knots the action was too wild. ( I thought they might be killer down deep)
They are meant to slooooooowly move along the water.

this was the lure i used off the fence and middle and other places
I use to get bones on the black and gold and the chart and silver.
it was not how fast but the throb of the rod that set the idle for these lures

yeah, I bet you were using the smaller version(?) I was trying to troll the larger version on wire deep for a while but it was just a tad extreme I think for bass. I can see how the smaller version would be effective for bones...sort of like a high quality fastrac. (I can't stand fastracs...made like crap) One thing I found killer for bones and albies this year was rebels Sliver..it trolls 10X better then a fastrac and can take a beating.

sandman what side You trolling
I think the J13 is the nuts, its all in the throb of the right rod.
what model rebel.
I had a bone bust the tail off a fast track and I still caught the fish
the front set in the side of the fish.
I think the fish went right around 7.5 lbs or so

Oh yeah it works, it buzzes thru the water...its just junk all around, hooks, hangers, lip construction and attachment, wire... all are so light duty. 1 10# blue fish will destroy it. I am not sure of the model number.
They break all the time and I gave up on them. The sliver is much stronger IMO and works just as well.
gotta go (fishing of course)
wind is dying.
