Giant Jointed Swimmer

I've gotten hooked on making these big boys (10 1/2"). Now I have to figure out where to fish them. This one may end up in the water at night at Singing Beach up here on the North Shore. I used the biggest pikie lip that I had and am thinking it may still be too small.

I know just where that could be fished and I would be happy to fish one of them.

Very nice.

very nice plug indeed....but note the size of the lip on a giant creek chub....it's half the size of the large pike lip that's being made today.......ccb didn't use that size lip cause they had a warehouse full.......that size jointed plug wants to slowly snake through the water...not roll around.

BOAT fish do count.

Giant pikie lip

Capesams, Can you post a picture of a Giant jointed pikie lip
(if you have one). I'm working from pictures. Keep getting out bid on ebay... Big lips equal roll? little lips equal wobble?

Hope to be trolling next year when I have a boat, Sandman.

Dadfisherman, my mailbox in empty now.

ccb lips are 1-3/16" wide

NJT..are 1-1/4 wide..it's the one in the middle.

moore's are to big..far left.

if you take an njt lip an shave down the side's just a hair,,you'll have as close to perfect match to the ccb.....as your going to get.

BOAT fish do count.

Thanks for the picture! I've been using a #2 NJT lip. Sounds like what you're describing.

I beleive a ccb lip is a combo of a pike an and a danny.

pike lips give a plug more of a roll

danny lips give the plug more of a side to side wiggle.[snake]

BOAT fish do count.
