More seals

Big picture in the Boston Globe today of the animal lovers releasing another rescued 700 pound fish eating machine back into the wild. I hope they neutered it before they let it go.
Justice would be finding its tracking device inside the great white with the tracking device.

Reminds me of a story some years ago, after the Valdez accident in Alaska.
After rescuing a couple of seals, and rehab'ing them back to health, they were brought back to the same waters for release.
After 10's of thousands of $, and weeks of rehab the shining moment came when they were released with cheers and tears, only to be attacked and eaten by killer whales within minutes as the spectators looked on in horror.
I thought this was hilarious. It's like stopping to let an animal cross the road, and then have it turn and run right back into traffic (and it's own demise).

From the Montrealfood.com link...

....Seal has the texture of steak and tastes like mild beef liver. It's not bad fried with onions, grinds up nicely for meat balls to simmer in a spicy tomato sauce, and holds its shape in a basic Iles de la Madelaine four root (onions, carrots, potatoes, and turnip) stew.

How would YOU like a nice bowl of sealball stew?

I had a box of animal crackers the other day. The box said 'do not eat if seal is broken.' I opened the box, the lion was OK, the elephant was OK, sure enough, the darn seal was broken.

We could use the sealskin to line to line our coyote skin coats....
