I don't blame him...but it was stoopid. His boyfriend Jeeeter would have been on second had he just ran.
After watching the tape, there's even a chance he could have run into Mankevich (sp?) and perhaps gotten an interference call on the Sox...who knows...

The worst part was all the pleading he did after deliberately opening his hand up while running to slap the ball away  Goon. If any of the fans had actually opened there eyes how could one believe that it wasnt intentional

Totally against the rules, they teach that starting in little league...He would have been within his right if Millar was in the basepath and he ran over him, but reaching out like that is total BS and typical of a POS punk like A-hole...

I guess maybe desperate times deserve desperate measures and ARod just re-acted and didn't think. Don't know about an interference call, it seemed like Mientkewicz was out of the play between Arroyo and the ump. I don't have a replay machine, but from memory I thought I noticed he actually missed first base. After he slapped at the glove he was left of the bag trying to avoid Arroyo and had to come back to it.
