gansett is deader than a cat in a chinese resteraunt. The heavy surf shut down the fishing here all week. It will probably pick up for a little bit but theres fish in other places....east and west.

I remember back in '72, when the mink were runn'in up the Westport rivah. Takes a might stout rod to liveline a whole mink, but when that's what the stripers are eatin, that's what you got to use...

There was a National Geographic Explorer show about it a few years back. They blindfold the rats and lash their feet together with a willow shoot. If I remember correctly the lure is called a gullibrat.

yessah i do remebah those says.... Bert an I would take a whole mink and rig it up with 6/0 trebbles off its back paws... it was a sight to behold.
Then we got into the mink moritorium days and we would have to use kittens... boy, i tell you what, there was a lot of cryin kids in those days.. Te only probllem was the bloofish would tear up the kittens.. the hide was just too soft.
