Have you gotten a perscription for muscle relaxers. They will at least help you with the discomfort.

Last year 'bout this time I found the first frost on my porch steps. Busted my arse good, closest I ever came to asking for an ambulance. Back pain is a mother! Especially that low, turn your legs off crap. Hate it. Rest and heat. And laying flat on the floor help me most. Good luck with it,BM. I know it sure ain't no picnic.

I ate 800 mg. Motrin for a month, couldn't walk without it. Stuff works. Narcotics on the other hand suck the rainbow, no use for 'em.

I hear you BBJ, I am the poster child for Motrin 800, I take 2 a day, just so's I can move. (arthritis)

And I hear U and BM on the narcotics.........
Back in the eighties when I first blew out my back they gave me some kinda muscle relaxant, Valium, and Tylenol 3 with Codiene.
Take one of each of these 3, every 4 hours, and rest.... YEAH... that's cause you swallow them, 10, 9, 8, 7, yer OUT-------> then 3 hours and 45 minutes later you wake up, look at the clock, OH .... time for more pills? Yep, repeat........ NO WAY, I did it the first day, then figgered feeling the pain was better than being in a drug induced coma... flat on my arse for 2 weeks, and it still sings at me now and again... especially now thatgood old arthur-itis has found that old wound too....

My back is so messed up I rarely fish anymore

Ruptured disk, arthritis, degenerative lumbar disease, constant neuropathic pain in both feet, extreme pain at the rupture.

I'm a gimp

But, I still fish sometimes.

My friends wheel me out and I critisize their fishing technique.

Also, include spinal chord (nerve) damage with that.
