Its that time year.

No sooner do I hang up the gear for the year than I'm already sick for the first time this soon to be winter season.
Its all down hill from here .
Only 5 months give or take a few weeks before the fishies are back.Already thinking about a holdover trip.

Now I will have to decide when I will start sharpening or replacing hooks, tying bucktails and making some leaders. Got a few more fishing books to finish reading too.

Bass,
Come to our meeting (Newport County SW Fishing Club) on Thursday Dec 16th. Held at the Newport Yacht Club on Long Wharf starting at 7pm. Perfect for cabin fever.

Hey, BW - what DZ said - I'll be there for the meeting, too -

You oughta come down for the meeting - it's a good group of guys and you're going to know a lot of them anyway - and it's a good way to beat the winter doldrums for a night

There's going to be bucktail jig and teaser demos and members are also going to bring striped bass related memorabilia, vintage tackle etc.

So far I'm only doing a jig demo - I don't think I'm on display as one of the antiques....

Not that anyone cares - but a mount of a locally surf caught 60 MIGHT make its appearance around 8pm. Not definite at this point.
