Bottle Darters

I really want to get back into this plug .. I like it alot .. also making darters that are not in paint yet .. These weigh 2.5 ounces .. If any of them will not perform well I'll tweak a little .. If that dosen't help I'll smash them with a hammer and repost ..

Have you test swum them yet and do they swim like regular darters? Probably a silly question at this time of year unless you have access to an indoor pool. Are you working in hardwood or are you weighting them? They do look sweet!

Nib coached me making this plug .. They swim with a slow retrieve and start to dart as retrieve is increased,,all sub surface ,, not on top at all ..They are made out of hard maple and weighted with one 00 buckshot 1 inch back of the belly hook .. I like em alot .. these are slimmer prophile (more true to form) than the ones I made last year ,,I haven't tested this yet but last years worked very well .. I swam plugs with Mac last Sunday morning behind Maco's from the docks.. Plenty of open water there .. Canal is all loose ice coming through ,.. we swim plugs all winter... we're sick like U
