Rod rack

What features would you want in a perfect rod rack?
I'm building one for my truck and would appreciate any feedback, I want to make it right the first time. So far it's going to be all stainless and will be able to mount on the front, rear and in the bed of the truck.

For a horizontal style rack, something that will encase the reel totally. It would be nice to lock the reel inside a box . I've heard stories where the thieves(POS) cut the rod because they wanted the reel only.

Word of caution for your front bumper rack. I've seen a home made PVC front rack that had a major design flaw. They didn't put a lower stop for the rod butt. When these guys drove up on a concrete stop, it snapped their poles!
