Rod Question

Hi all,
I was just given a St. Croix Ben Doerr Surf System Rod M#SS-100 M
I can not find any information about this rod, Does any one have this rod?
If so is it spinning or conventional what line is it rated for?
I am pretty sure that the M stands for medium action and the 100
stands for 10 foot. and it does say for lure up to 3oz.

Thanks any help is very appreciated

If it's a SS is probably spinning. How big are the guides?

The Ben Doerr were a signature line that I believe is out of production...should still be a nice rod though.

Assuming you mean the ring size and not the full width of the frame that sounds like a spinner.

It's a nice rod. The collector guide is pretty far up so you may want to try a reel before you buy to make sure you don't have line slap. I've got a 704Z on mine.

They're not---they made by All Star now instead of St Croix.

And the St Croix Premier line is probably very similar.
