Smile Seal on the beach

Well I took a long weekend trip to the Cape with Family & Friends.Saturday was nice & warm so we gathered up the kids & headed out for some sea shell & rock collecting @ Sea Gull Beach.
As we came over the dune we saw a Seal hanging out catching some rays.It was really cool, he didn't seem to mind all of us checking him out I was able to take some shots of him.
My kids couldn't belive that there was a seal on the beach just laying there all by himself, they thought that it was the coolest thing ever!

Kind of reminds me to get the old club out of the garage and put a fresh coat of linseed oil on it...the blood washes off better that way

It was a great weekend, but the thing is............I can't go back to the place I woked for 11 years. They just packed in the tents & closed the doors on 03.17.05 (Yup Happy St. Patty's day)It went Belly up.A good standing Co. for 54 years gone to the Crapper. It's pretty sad!
IM looking forward to spending more time w/ the kids & enjoy the down time. I can get alot more stuff done around the house like build a new Fort for the kids & also get my gear ready for the season.

I have a coulple of things brewing I hope that one of them pans out.
Untill then Im gonig to enjoy this as much as possible
Fishing season is about 3-4 weeks away

Tony stoped by after work & we busted out all of the goodies for the lathe & we both turned our first plugs.
Well I think I just found a part time job already, C I knew it wouldn't take long

I also took the kids for a walk on the beach and low and behold a cute seal, looked alot like the one in the pics. My kids where so excited, what a treat it was, I was amazed at how close it let you get to them. We kept our distance but as we left two older kids showed up and got close enough to touched it, it made strange sound. Shortly after my girls found rocks that where black and white that reminded them of the seal. What a nice spring day.
