best lunar fishing dates
based on the moon sign.... two dots are good ...circled days are the best and if you'll notice on the calender below (attached image) we have a phenomenal " two full moons in picses" and almost a third.... incredible, outstanding, stupendous, comes to mind to describe this season for the lunar influence.....should be the best year ever.....
i believe...
anyways: obviously you go when you can.... but if you can get away on the circled days and especially the full moons in picses you'll catch fish
without a doubt if they are at your spot.

its a lunar influence ....in conjunction with the position of all the other planets....
its over 2000 years old(astrology....is.) millionares dont use it.................billionares do.
astrologically speaking.... the 12 zodiac signs are divided into 4 groups
water = cancer,picses,scorpio, =best for fishing
earth = taurus,virgo,capricorn
fire = aries,leo,sagitariius
AIR = libra,gemini,aquarius
the water sign days are both the best days for planting seeds as well as for fishing....so the calender can be used for a second purpous. plant seeds/plants on those days as well.... it really works because i have field tested it for 30 years. same for mowing lawns to encourage the growth . Nothing is written in stone but ...this time-table will give you an advantage
you still have to factor in all the other things like the weather and tide ect.

This will be interesting. I'll keep track of my successes and royal skunkings and see how they mesh with the Calendar. I've a fairly open mind, if this works for me ( I add "for me" because other folks fishing successes don't matter ) then it will become another tool in my arsenal. Thanks for sharing this, Raven.

for those of you who can wet a line today , i highly recommend it.

So if I cut the grass and plant some seeds in the garden, water the garden, take out the trash recycling and compost, stain the deck, paint the porch, renovate the bathroom, paint the house, clean the garage... my wife might let me excape to fish one of those days

No, no, no. we’re 30… 30, three zero.

Are these days related to the phase of the moon? I am looking specifically at the August full moon. My calendar has the full moon occurring on the 19th, but your calendar above indicates that the "full moon pisces" is best between the 28th and 29th. Unless my calendar is wrong (it could be I pulled it off the web) wouldn't those three days be the last quarter of the moon going into a new moon?
Just trying to understand this method. I have been tracking moon phase in my fishing logs for the last 4 years. I seem to do best around the full and new moons (stronger tides).

thanks SLAPSHOT
you are correct....that the full moon is on the 19th and i was supposed to draw an arrow from that comment up to the days of the 19th and 20th....
and just put it in a bad spot making it LOOK like i was talking about the 28th ,29th,and 30th instead...when the moon is in the sign fo cancer also a water sign and great time to fish.... ANY time you get to fish ...IS a great time to fish...as i've said all along...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
the basis for astrology is the alignment of the planets and how they effect the electromagnetic FLUX surrounding the earth.. which is equalized\regulated by countless lightening strikes all over the planet....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
most people wont argue about the fact that the moon controls the tides and the hydroscopic pressure on earth's water.... but after that they don't wanna know anything about any other mumbo jumbo especially when astrology is involved....which is fine... but those planets have gravitational pull which effects behavoir of all living things from a distance because the earth's electromagnetic flux extends way into space.... and it's about
timing.....and utilizing the GOOD influence of those gravitational changes
on the electromagnetic flux... of earth... shown below are two illustrations.

Thanks! I will dig out my Eldridge tide book and see if I can find any patterns between your astrological best fishing dates and the currents and tides.

talking about phase....
the phase of the moon and the subsequent dark periods during the new moon and the super bright light from the full moon is an entirely different subject and not to be confused with the astrological sign the moon is in <---
but i can tell you this..... in the gardening world which parrallels fishing allot of the time... during the first two quarters the earth pushes\pulls upwards and its recommended that you plant all above ground plants like lettuce, broccolli ect
during the first two quarters (PHASES) and then during the third quarter [from the full moon now loosing light down to the half moon again] thats when you plant root crops like carrots potatoes ect... where the moon is having a downward pull/push and the fourth quarter is for cultivating and getting rid of weeds ....whatever....and then the process repeats itself .....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
personally, i have found fishing during the end of the first quarter or seen as a half moon quite good based solely on the phase.... and its widely known that crabs are going crazy during the full moon... and i don't know if thats related to tides being higher....more available light or increased hydroscopic pressure which is greatest at the full moon. its all very facinating and i'm constantly observing and learning each time i go...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
one thing i have noticed....though...if your out on the water and the sun is rising in the east and the moon is setting in the west directly opposite each other...for a very brief period while both ORBS are on the horizon.....the fishing gets INTENSE in a hurry and activity literally peaks with fish jumping right out of the water for a period of around 20 minutes.... why? unknown?
but i believe it's related to the gravitational pull and/or the opposing forces of the sun and the moon on opposite sides of the earth..... LOOK for that (anyone and everyone reading this post) and you'll see what i mean.

 full moons look for the new moon in eldridge and find the ones with the most tide. screw the rest of the crap.
full moon good with cloud cover and rain and slop other than that that stagnet water stanks unless ya in a bay throwing yellow to busting fish.

some people are
SCIENTIFICALLY MINDED...............while others use the animalistic approach
utilizing their olfactory senses...fishermans intuition.....or their double secret spot.
or just go trolling....when you get a hit.... fish are there....

Today's date was circled on Raven's calender so I went this morning to a favorite early season spot near my dad's house and cleaned up on 'em.Just got back.The biggest was about 16-17" or so.
I'm going to try to make an effort to fish as many of the "good" dates as possible and keep a log this year and see how I fare.Will let everyone know how it worked out at season's end.
