a reverence for WOOD and selection

I'd like to talk about ...the properties of wood...

as i have an unlimmited amount of tree parts i can harvest

after the logging out...[ out back ] of many different types....

and why ayc is so popular to turn as aposed to

a denser type that wouldn't need as much weight added.

i realize the machining ....turning, drilling, is one of the reasons

its desirable....but in the end is it the final finish from the tight grain

a biggest consideration or is it more based apon the action and bouyancy

for say poppers or density for danny's? [[ a loaded question - sorry?[[
---------------------------------------------------------------------
i'm setting up -- several new man caves... presently...a slow process because the walls are getting the wire and level best treatment to check erosion of the stone wall foundation.

ps. if this subject has been covered specifically for backwoods harvesting rather than lumber store quality stock then maybe point me to the post ...
thanks, Rav
