Preaching to the Quire today at P.A.

and its only June.. A distraught resisdent today asked me if I lived around there . I said no I just fish down here.. Then she goes on this tirade about how she's been talking to the police about the fishers littering when I intterupted her and said she was preaching to the quire . I told her I know alot of the guys that go down there, thinking to myself of all the MSBA guys, and told her they don't litter but I will tell them your concerns and we'll keep an eye out for offenders.. I told her it only takes 1 or 2 stinkers to make a mess and she told me about the beer cans in her bushes..I made peace with her but I think she's been on a mission .. She mentioned making it no parking further up the street .. I remember when there was no signs down there .. not one ..So just to let you know the natives are restless .. We may have to pick up others trash and let people know they can't trash the place down there.. or we all may be down the gut ..... p.s. no fish down there at flood

I guess the everyday folk who go down there to walk, visit, eat lunch, and the younguns who are carousing and out beer bingeing and need a place to throw their beer cans aka a bush don't do the majority of the littering.....just fishermen!!!! One of the neighbors down there is a good guy and he knows better....I will have a word with him when I see him! How bout the surfers....they don't litter???

Yes Larry I know ,, all of the above,, I think she may be the same one that left the nasty note on my winsheild .. "This is a Residential area not a Recreation area"

Does she live right across from the stairs on the corner? I talked with her a little a week or so ago and she seemed very pleasant.

We are losing more and more access to beaches every year..As always the actions of a few are WRECKING it for everyone else!!! And as someone said its not just fishermen and women..Its the kids and everyone else using the beach but we "fishermen and women" get the bad rap....We have to do something to educate these property owners...I can truely understand there frustation..But I think the blame should fall elsewhere for the most part...The true fisherman respect there property and the beach..

Yeah it always the fishermen... My wife and I went down with the baby for a walk yesterday afternoon, what a dump that whole beach has turned into, especially the beginning. My wife felt very uncomfortable down there.

I have never had any problem down there with natives but will make sure to clean up anything I see next time I am down there. No fish tagger? Were you fishing at night? If we get rejected from fishing down there it will be a huge loss.

I had a run-in with a lady down there last year and she said the same thing bout it not being a "state park" she was also upset about the "noise"...I told her I lived in town and it was not the group of guys I know...prolly a couple bad seeds...she didn't seem to buy it or care...

The Kids have been in Pre and as of today post Graduation mode and I know for a fact there have been two parties on Pa in the last two weeks. that lady just does not like fishermen. There has been no formal action mentioned in either the paper or at the selectmen meetings which I follow pretty close. We do need to keep the place clean even if it is not us causing the problems. And by the way...the fish are there Plenty of MAcs too.
