Best Seafood In Gansett Area

Okay folks....I'm in the mood for some great seafood......clams, lobstah, shrimp, etc.

What's your vote for the best seafood joint in the Gansett / Pt. Jude area?

Eben,
If its the same Wiley's I'm thinking of they're no longer there. I drove by there today and it has a different name.

Best Seafood in Gansett Area.

Top spot, Lighthouse Inn @ Point Judith. But they are closed for many years now. So I would have to go to second choise, which would be Georges @
Gallalie,although I haven't been there in quite a while. My 2 cents..

Wiley's moved to 1200 ocean road. ( about 1 block down ocean road form aunt carries) Wiley's isnt your tradiotional new england seafood fare, its more like cajun food. the seabass is to die for.. the horseradish encrusted striped bass is orgasmic, and they have tortilla chip incrusted flounder thats top notch... deserts are killer too- tequilla lime coconut bread pudding

As you can see I have eaten there more than a few times...

champlins and georges are my favorite generic fish and chips eatery-

Aunt Carrie's isn't bad, but I am not an expert on the area. I like their clam cakes.

They don't bat an eye when unwashed scraggly sleep-deprived walk in to grab some chow.

Eben, Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try them again.

IMHO George's and Champlain's seafood is O.K. but certainly not the top rung on the ladder.
