If you need an instant fix just stop by the shop, I always have a tube of UV activated wader patch ready to go.

As long as the sun is out you'll be patched up literally in seconds. A little longer if I have to use the UV flashlight on them.

I don't know what brand (type) of breathables you're using. I had a pair of Cabelas Dry Plus II waders that developed leaks along the inseam. I used aquaseal and sealed every stinking seam and stitch on the waders. I tried them again and the waders were simply leaking through the fabric (and were unrecoverable). Cabelas seems to have changed the fabric/material on their breathables now..and they are much more rugged.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Does the uv wader patch also need the a piece of the wader fabric or just the glue? WHat do you guys sell a tube for?

Thanks

Depends how big the rip is. Basically you can use it just like Aquaseal, except it sets up instantly in the sun and also even if the waders are wet.

If it's a big rip, you'll need some patch material too. If it's just a treble hook hole or something like that just a dab of it will seal it right up.

There's a tube open somewhere near the line winder, stop in and give it a try if you want. Then buy a tube if you like it. I can't remember what the price is though, I'm at home right now. $5 or so I think.

Goop. It'll fix a pretty big hole. Sometimes you gotta back it up with a piece of material for a huge hole. I don't fall in love with my waders. First hole and that's that. Goop it.
