IF I cant brag about catching any mongo cows

I would like to brag about the baby striper I caught tonight.....It was the size of my plug. It hit and even took some line, then it felt like nothing. when I pulled my line out of the water what to my surprise was a baby striper with eyes way bigger than his appetite. I told him to go tell mommy there are good eats over here.

I wish i had a camera....

that ever happen to anyone?

Your right, as long as it has stripes. I was just as excited to see something there as if it was any other fish........OK well maybe not ANY other fish....but it was still fun.

Sunday night

I was using a small yo-zuri
My uncle was using a 3"perch shad

He caught at least 6 fish that were 8" or less....

(the yo-zuri only caught 12" and up!)

North shore

Lots of little guys up on the north shore lately, especially in the rivers. The ocean front has been slow but there are fish to be had if you hit it right, I did get my person best a few nights ago, 44" long, I'm guessing about 32# (released = not sure on wt.). Hopefully it'll pick up soon. I'm wondering if this weird spring where it was warm early then cold for a while got the fish up as far as rhody and then held them there. Hopefully as things warm up more we'll start seeing more up here.
