Scussett

The new super at Scussett is from Holyoke heritage park her name is Johanna Heron. She was booted from Horseneck. She is known in the system as a beatch with connections. So lets start pissing off the connections. Her boss is Brian Shanahan 508 866 2580. Lets let him know how we feel.

Got an e-mail for him?

Flooding his mailbox instead of letting his secretary field calls would be more fun.

I wonder if I can apply for her job.

That stuff that goes on there with the gate just pisses me off.

She's having the gates to the beach and jetty locked at 8 pm you can park at the peir and walk in but the point is that it's BS. She comes from an urban park where you would not want to walk at night and thinks she can do the same down here. Its called public property with no public access. Living on the coast like I do and constantly being shut out of more and more coast line it rubs me the wrong way when I can't access "public " property.

O.K.

Just so I know what the problem is. I agree with being shut out. What are they going to do give keys to the campers to open and close the gates? Doubt it.

From what I understand, they've hired two young guys to man the gatehouse from 8 PM until whatever time it re-opens in the AM. Campers probably receive some sort of receipt when they check in. If they leave after the gate closes, they'll probably have to stop and show their registration receipt and the gate will be swung open for them.

The gate does not impede the campers from coming and going to the campgrounds - fork at the end of the road.
Go right- to the camp area.
Go straight - to Scusset Beach .

The gate is accross the entrance to the Scusset beach parking lot.

Best of luck with her....I am from Holyoke....My buddy ryan worked for her in the summers at the park and everynight when we would go out drinking he would always talk about how she was a real Bitc* and this and that...I have never met her personally but after I saw this thread I asked around and havent heard anything good...Best of luck though...

I went to canal last sunday at about 6:30 PM. Charged me 7 bucks to park and then told me I had to leave at 8:45PM. What is up with that?

Really? Does she look like a short white lady with a short blonde or dirt blonde hair? If it is her, then she is the one who hassled me to pay the gate while I have the golden pass. Where is the office, man? I am going to give them some serious compliants.
