With the good comes the bad

After Monday's great time with the bass and blues chasing the herring something bad had to happen to even it things out.

I lost an absolutely beautiful metalip swimmer I won in the raffle at plugfest.
It was copper colored, lighter on bottom with a very light purplish stripe down each side and glass like finish. It also had 5/0 siwash bucktail on the rear with above mentioned colors and some white.Weighed around 1.75-2 OZs.

I hadn't really used it to much so I decided to put it on tonight.I didn't check my line after Monday night. After about a dozen casts or so SNAP and into the wild blue yonder it went. What a waist.

I really wish I could remember who made the plug.I owe them an apology for losing such fine plug because of my stupidity.

I quit early and am having a few beers.

Seems to be that kind of night. I gave up a veteran Habs needle to a lobster pot a few casts after taking a decent fish on it.

I've had enough of the ever increasing #'s of lobster/scup pots in Newport. Not only does there seem to be more, but they're getting really bold as to where they place them. They are ruining MANY fishing spots. Even if you can fish without hooking a pot, you're going to be in big trouble when you hook something. I'm pissed...

One persons interests ruining it for many really rubs me the wrong way.

Pete you should see fishing Maine. There's so many there on all the points it's hard to fish some of them.

Cool guarenteed access

should be the law.... for surf fishermen.... whether it be closed parking lots,
closed access trails due to freakin plovers nesting, or crowded points with lobster pots... guarenteed access is being denied and we have just as much RIGHT to that water as they do.

Pete the sad thing is this plug never even saw a fish.

Where I was fishing at does have several new buoys in the water three of which are close enough to shore to lose a nice fish on.This time it was strictly my fault for not checking my line after Mon. night's carnage.
