Freshwater fish on plugs
Got back from the Adirondack Mountains. Thought I'd share a few of the pictures of some of the fish On got on small danny plugs.... These guys were set up to swim about 5' down. The fish didn't want to come up to top water stuff.... Spinner baits were also a big "hit".....

Pike... That one was about 30" as I recall. Good size for the small pond I was fishing.

How big...
BF, They're 2 1/2" to 3" long.... Green over white and yellow over silver worked pretty good. I found some old spinner baits in a tackle box in the barn by the cabin. Took 'em apart, got the spinners working and had a ball in the weeds. Pike loved them. Now I'm thinking about the eel grass beds around here and bass and blues. Anyone ver tried them out in saltwater?

I was at lake georgen, NY last weekend and caught a lot of smallmouth, yeah it's fun, but no where near the high adventure of the striper surf.

They each have their own beauty. I love to watch a smallie come clear out of the water shaking its head for all it's worth trying to toss the hook.

very true, lake george is so clear, you could see the fish hitting the lure about 20 feet down! you're not going to get that in the striper surf!
