Wink Your Season so Far/ Mine to

Well for the first year I have not turned to bait during the summer slow times. I have been fishing with needle fish mostly and the surf howdy
with good success. it would probably be a little better if I got out more.
I have also had great luck with all sizes of the slugo.

This by no means is a banner year for me but it's fishing. no keepers on my fly rod either I hope that changes to

How is yours going?

So far, it has been slow. You all know I'm a canal man, that place has been very slow this year. I have all this comming week off and my journal says the next 3 weeks will have jumbo fish in the canal (also, big tagged fish from Virginia show up). To say the least, stripers have been "elusive" (for me) this season.

Earlier on in the season, I met (in person) Mr. Bigfish, since then, ummm..

my season has been much BETTER than when i started three years ago. i keep catching fish on plugs, plastics, and jigs. the best part is that i dont miss much. i had 4 or 5 skunks. i even encounter some fish besides stripers like shads. but i had my bad luck with losing plugs.

no, i havent lost my spookster, guys. please dont make fun of me.

I've had my best season yet.
Lots of fish in the 30# range, 1 40# and many 20#ers.
Had a lull for a couple weeks but I found 'em again!!
