Family Fishing Trip Pics
My sister and her son are up from New Orleans for two weeks. She hadn't been fishing since my dad took her when she was a kid, and her son had never been. I took them to the canal last week, but we got skunked, so a cool pal let me take his boat out on the lake, and I got them into some fish. They were so excited, and good at it! I was unhooking fish left and right for them. Here's a picture of my nephew's first largemouth and one of him driving the boat. It was such a great feeling to see them catching and enjoying fishing; it's indescribable.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working. ...Wait a minute, my work IS fishing. Sweet.

And here's one of my nephew Ian with Rob Rockcrawler and his nice bass, caught while we were down at the Cape. Ian was all about hopping around the rocks like a mountain goat, and he loved playing with the eels. That kid is such a joy to have around. Talkative, loving, and well-behaved. Not to mention insanely cute.

Love seeing the little ones around the water , no pfd's are the only bad thing about those photo's. Easier to teach them the safety stuff while they're young...johnny

No life jacket was his Mom's decision. We had plenty of rescue mission experience that day, what with me losing a hat and my favorite fishing lure.

yeah kids are a blast... i love the questions they ask.
one city kid asked me this, as i held up a huge bullfrog
flat on my palm for him to see. (first time ever)
Does it bite? i am still laughing.
