The sad part of Bill's post is that he has been getting fish in the 20 to 28# class on a regular basis. I know. I've been with him. I'm not quite so lucky mine have all been 15 to 22lbs.

No boat, back in the suds.

#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&....20-28 pound stripers are so....last year! I am keeping it real this year and going mostly schoolie for a change! So far I have hit my target with a bounty of fish under 28 inches.....and I am loving it! I might stir things up a bit come September and maybe go large with a 30 pounder or two. Save some for me will ya?

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I'll second Cow hunter the past few outing's the fish were 38# 34# and tossed back another 30+# not to mention the 20+#er's I tossed back, I just didn't want to rub it in.

Live bait sharp hooks and timing is all you need

Good job, Rob. The fall fishing is about to begin if it hasn't already. I know its still august, but late august to me is fall fishing, and always has been. There are tons of fish around, hopefully they will take the shore route home this fall.

Well, I ONLY have 5 fish in the 30lb range and my best of the year is only one lousy 38lber which I got may 29th, just a terrible year all the way around. I wish I was as good as Cowhunter and Bob, but I guess I will have to settle for the rat 20s and few 30s I have

Most of my rhody fishing this year has been by boat, but there are more good fish this year in the 20-30 range then any in recent memory. Most of the commercials I know down there will confirm this statement fully. Just keep watching the shoreline......

well its just my factory loomis that i finally had replaced. haven't done too much with it yet as i'm down in WV hitting on cousins and feasting on roadkill. but i have a ton of confidence in it and its the only one i haven't managed to break

congrats on the fishies, and i like your approach(not bragging about them)
