MY TRUCK SUCKS

I drove the 90 miles to wareham to get my eels from mike and hit the ditch for the night, but didnt quite make it. Stopped at the gas station right off of the highway, truck wouldnt start. Got a push to jump start it and headed back home. Cost 35 bucks in gas, to get so damn close to the water that i could almost smell it, just to drive home. Starter is toasted, just had the power steering pump replaced last week. Had to vent somewhere... Shoulda went to M&D's got the eels and left the friggin thing running all night and fished, maybe someone would have stole it...

Everything is better on the rocks.

Well, they say that there is no time like now, to buy a new vehicle, but no thanks, no payment book needed now, for me anyways.... yeah, planned obsolesence (sp?), old age, things go, got to plan for it, or buy new, and if you do, buy new every 3 years........ or run the wheels offa them, lose money either way.

Truck a standard? park on a hill ... I had a vehicle like that in my youth, always looked for a down grade, parked up top, kept me going for a couple years Well, off to spend money on my wifes 97 with 100K on it, keep it going, she still loves it better than the new ones.

I parked at the top of my driveway, should give me enough of a rolling start. Work will be a bit trickier, not much of a hill at all anywhere close and i get out at midnight, should be interesting getting her started tonight.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Do you have tools and the ability to change the starter yourself?
It's a pretty simple job and most starters don't cost much from the parts stores!
PM me if I can give you some advice or help!

New gas pump, clutch (2 of them), 3 sets of tires, new exhaust and muffler,
new headlight switch, new electronics (short circuit burn out), new belts, new spark plugs (8 plugs for a 4 cylinder), new spark plug wires, new air filter,
new cigarette lighter.

Needs a new water pump (leaks a few drops)
150000 miles, runs better than ever.
