"Plug Night 3" at MSBA on Wednesday....All Are Welcome!
MSBA will be holding "Plug Night 3" at its monthly meeting this Wednesday the 24th at the Viking Club at 410 Quincy Avenue in Braintree. It kicks off at 7:00 pm with lots to see and lots to buy.....there will be a brief business meeting for the club that begins at 7:30 and afterwards the evening will kick into high gear with a long intermission for socializing, seeing all that will be there and purchasing those plugs that you have been wanting! There will be antique plug collections on display as well as custom wood! Steve "Flaptail" Shiraka of On The Water magazine fame will be giving a presentation on fishing plugs and plug history! There will be a raffle table filled with plugs and also a Charity Raffle with all proceeds to benefit the NBIA Disorders Association. This is a very rare neuro-muscular disorder and the proceeds will go to helping in the research of finding a cure, so please buy many tickets for the charity raffle and help the NBIA Disorders Association find a cure......3rd Prize will be a small plug bag filled with plugs.....2nd prize will be a custom made and painted one of a kind plug that you must see to believe....and the Grand Prize will be a large plug bag filled with mucho custom wood! So please come one...come all to "Plug Night 3".....all details can be found in the Plug Builders Forum in the sticky thread at the top and directions can be found at MSBA.net. See you all there I hope!
Did I mention there would be free hot dogs while they last?

Thanks Larry I'll be there with plugs and money for the raffle.
It's for a great cause.
Just for your info, my son Danny is best friends with a boy that has this disorder and his friends older brother has it as well. If you saw firsthand how the disorder affects their quality of life, you'd understand how I want to help them raise money for research to find a cure. So any help that is given by the Mass. Bass Assoc. from Plug night 3 is mucho appreciated. Mass. Bass is a great organization and I am glad to be a member

Last year the MSBA put PLug Night together and had a charity raffle to benefit a need near and dear to one of our members here at S-B. The people from MSBA and this site that went really pulled though and made some impressive doantaions to the raffle in both tickets purchased and plugs gifted.
This year has another example of the MSBA doing a charity raffle that will benefit the need of someone important to one of our members, is a good cause, and you can have fun doing it... Larry - I'll add 4 plugs to the top place bag. Won't be the schweet custom stuff some of you build but they will be dependable fish catchers and worthy of their own tube in the plug bag
For those of you new to the site and wanted to see some of the, err, personalities, make sure you show up. Get there early as the lot spills over on this night....

JohnR...thanks very much for the donation...thats the spirit! Its going to be a great night! If any of you get the MSBA newsletter....I just got mine and there is a misprint in it regarding the charity....I used last years text and made some changes but missed that one...it is NBIA and not Childrens Hospital this year. My apologies for the error! Hope to see you all there!
Last year we raised over $1,400.00 for Childrens Hospital......it would be nice if we did as good a job this year!

Of course I'll be there!!!
How could I miss that?
I been so tied up with everything but fishing this year.
The only way I got salt on my lines was loaning two poles out to cousins visiting from FLA. I gave them a few tips as to a good place to stand. They hit that spot for about 20 hours over a few days time and managed to land more than a few close to keeper size.
I wish I could have been standing there with them but I know I had a hand in it and it felt good to hear of their success and I can feel that it was my tips that helped them have a great time of things.
See you wednesday.
If anyone has an extra fillet or to or three I would gladly talke it off their hands. otherwise its -wiches for us. This home ownership on a salary sucks. I wish I could put in extra hours for more cash! The need to feed is definitely going to drive my wood turning and fishing skills over the next few months.
