What kind of fish would this be?

My wife spoke to a Buzzards Bay resident the other day. He told her that he caught in the canal a 60 pound dog fish.
I know what a spiny dog fish is and it runs 7 to 10 pounds.
Some of you folks surprise me with your superior intelligence, and i think you'll know the answer. Please advise.THANKS alocke

I caught one at the MMA years ago, 48", 20#. Not sure if it was a huge dogfish or something else, don't remember a spine. Great fight, thought I had a real good bass. Gave it away and found out later that it was sold to a local restaurant.

Rickhern:
The interesting thing is his 60 pound sandbar shark was caught at the M.M.A.
Its really amazing how bright you guys are, and what a wealth of knowledge you possess. Its fun to read these messages each day. My guess is the sand bar was caught last year. Thanks to all.
