Where the fish at?

Fishing was sketchy on so many levels yesterday. Long and short, no fish -- no bites! So the fish with my name on them are still up in Maine? What water temps in MA and RI should I be looking for to start getting excited? I'm ready to start hooking worms for kivvers, just so I can feel what it feels like to catch a fish again.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working. ...Wait a minute, my work IS fishing. Sweet.

Babe:
Don't get antsy. It's real slow everywhere. I fished 6 hours Sat night/Sun AM from Watch Hill to Black Point in RI. I 26" and 1 about 15 lbs.
Friday night skunkero. last night Skunked again. Total for 3, days 12 hours in the surf. I short, 1, 15 lb. pretty poor for Sept.
Also I get lots of reports from friends on the SoCo shore and everyone was real slow this weekend. We surmise the big heave the week before had a lot to do with it.

No boat, back in the suds.

Not a lot up there either.....fishing seems to be slow everywhere.

Rivers in Maine ain't so bad

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I did enough this past weekend -- I'm set for a while. I think I'll just buy new fishing stuff until the stripers show their little faces again.

Fished 7 hours Sat, got 1 dink bass, no fluke, blues disappeared also.

Hit Champlins late yesterday afternoon for chow, threw a line off the wall and got a 19" fluke ,go figure!

it's a short list of places... lots of small bait near me.... not far from patrick.... seeing large schools of small bass, but they are keyed on the tiny bait...threw evrything in the bag... tried all my tins with no luck... good tides coming this weekend but it's also a full moon.... if the weather cooperates I may break out the kayak for a midnight jaunt through the bay into the river...

one more cast.....

don't forget to take your trash home
