Nauset break in
The day before our annual trip out to Nauset for the weekend a friend brought some of his gear and supplies out to the camp. Wouldn't you know it, the next day we get there to spend the weekend, the camp got broken into. Three rod/reel set ups stolen and 2 bags of tee shirts we have made up each year, gone!!! Just when you think it's going to be a great weekend fishing and drinking some a&**^%#@ goes and %$%$%$%$es on your parade. Strangest thing is that they left six 30 packs of beer. Luckily I guess they don't like bud and bud light. What size hopkins would be best to use on them??

You planning on opening a bar on the beach? Jesus that's a lot of booze.
Were you guys sober when the robbery happened?

That Sucks... Whose camp?
if you don't want to post, send a pm...
put the word out to the campowners and the campers, great "network" down there, don't be afraid to use it.. also, Chatham or Orleans?
let the local B&T's know, they get people in there trying to sell used gear, all the time... they could pick up on it for you.

What do the tee shirts say? I troll the flea market in Wellfleet a lot for antique tackle. What kind of rod and reel set ups?
|
Why even try.........

I figured the 4 oz hopkins would work but i'll have to change mine over to a treble.
It's Chets camp, the Cuopala between 4 and 5.
Actually that was only half the beer that we had for the weekend.
The T shirts are light green long sleeve with a pic of a small camp and WTF 2005 on the front.
Who ever took the shirts can't wear them on the beach because we go out on the beach a couple a times a week so we would definately spot them. We'll see what happens

I was thinking the same thoughts when I read the 1st post!!!
Booze & fishing = DUMB!!!
How much fun can it be to have caught fish and the next morning (or afternoon) when you sober up, you don't remember a thing!!!
Atleast you are not out on a boat!!!

I'll be looking for those shirts as well. Sounds easy to spot. Man, I hate thieves. You hook 'em, I'll gaff and club 'em.

Never said I was perfect,
but 6 30 packs for a weekend is a lot of booze,
unless you have a bunch of other guys drinking also!

Damn! You inspired me to get shirts for the site though - WTF 2005 sounds like a great slogan (will pick another color though)...
Also leaf thru the want ads and I hate to say, but a 500 mi search of zip code on Fleabay. Do you need a OSV permit to get to that camp?

John, yes, if you rent one of the camps, you still got to buy the sticker.
Town likes its money.
WTF, is an annual event for your group ktugboat, isn't it? I seem to remember the t-shirts, and hearing of the WTF weekends.

Yeah, this was the 27th year in a row for some of the guys. I've only been doing it for the last 9 years. This year they were very strick on making sure all of us had current stickers. In the past they would let one of the guys slide once in a while. Even after the break in it was still a great weekend.

I've been doing a similar weekend to WTF for the last 12 years. It's been going on since 1961 at my house. Great times those weekends. Some funny stuff goes on. It's really too bad some piece of poo messed with yours.
