favorite plugs
What are your favorite plugs? We all tend to have that special plug that allways seems to do the trick. For me its the bomber a-salt or a nice black/purple redfin.

I also like the blurple A-Salt.This year though the blurple and the bunker pattern Mambos have been my go-to.Kastermasters are another favorite.
Way to many custom plugs to mention all but the gold/yellow Tattoo Jr. swimmer and the #^^^^^^^^^^^& olive/white bottle popper have done me good this year. The 1.75oz(?) white Hab's needle has caught for me.Can't wait to throw my new AH spooksters.

My favorite is a 4" goo goo eye swimmer, followed by red/white cotton cordell and Nils Master 6" swimmer for the schoolies. I am also partial to the blue/white atom 2 oz popper pre RI mfr. If you go back a few years, Boone makes some really nice small needlefish which the shcoolies also love.

Afterhours Jr. Spookster, Blue Mackeral Bomber...honestly, I've been such a slave to the eels lately, I can't really say beyond those two. If I fished my others more, then maybe they'd catch fish, too. But the eels, man, the EELS! I'm addicted.

Tattoo sea spook, this plug is SO deadly once u get good with the retrieve, takes some practice to get it right tho. yellow and pogie colors have been rocking this year(the pogie is great at night)
I have a yellow Hislander danny that has zero paint left, the bass try and kill that thing.
Gary sidekick, his bunker color is great at night.
Mag darter in bronze
Beachmaster dannys in black/gold
Sluggos (9") black/silver fleck

So may plugs, so little time to fish
My top 10 not in any order as my go-to plug changes thru-out the season
1) Bernzy swimmer (very classy good looking high end swimmer, great on a lighter 10' stick and a reel with braid)
2) Habs needles (olive and blk/pur) (probably best wood plug ever made IMO)
3) Bassmaster pike ( big fish plug, great swimming action esp in big water)
4) bernzy howdy ( one of my fav quite water plugs)
5) Mac Pike ( solid performer, great slow speed swimming action, everyone wants one when they see it)
6) Mega bait JB150 (best plastic surfcasting lure ever made IMO)
7) Salmo Fatso (fantastic fish like finish, non-lipped swimmer, faster retrieve, big fish really like it)
8) My own tin jig (clone of a megabait) This is all I use for metal now
9) 3 oz Kastmaster (well except this chromed beauty)
10) Beachmaster swimmers (great heavy weather plug, stable )
I have a bunch more but these are my current fav's.

I have rediscovered how much I like the Enhanced plugs I got at MSBA show from the Lonely Angler. They cast a ton and got good wiggle on a sllloooooowwwwww retrieve. Gotten some vicious strikes, with a number of misses, I believe due to hooks and location on the plugs. After swapping out, hook up rate climnbed. Doc and Steelhead are using too.
