PSE Nova Youth Bow

I may have bit off more than my 9 year old daughter can chew. Her teacher told the class she had an archery set for a youth she bought for her kids for around $300.00 and they didn't use it much and she wanted to sell the set plus an unused target for $50. So I thought this was something we could do together before she transitions over to the all-female side of the house. It's an impressive looking set, but I know nothing about compound bows (I do all right with the Robinhood type). I think it may be a while before she can pull it anyway.
We'll check out the local sportsmen's centers for a beginner class of some sort, but in the meantime, do any of you know any websites where I might get info on how-to's for compound bows, good safety info, compound bows for dummies, etc?
