Monahan's Boat Ramp-Narragansett

Anyone familiar with this ramp? Thought I heard somewhere there is a nasty dropp off at the end of the concrete. Boat is only 14' so I don't need a lot of room and I'll be fishing the top 3 hours of the tide if it helps....thanks

Thanks Eben. Wind picked up ENE so it was a short morning with no fish.

I was there last night throwin sluggos off the end of the pier and along the rocks from there to the CGH. All schoolies. Nothing even close to keepers...This is getting frustrating, havent had a keeper in over a month. Well except for the one that spooled me 2 weeks ago...

Be careful!

I remember a time when the last dive of the day was made on the axile of a new Ford station wagon back in 85. It was a nice NEW ramp at the time but the abrupt end into the abyss was a killer. The fact that the car's tires weren't chocked was the killer. The year old fish wagon was toast after the soaking. Very sad. Be careful!

Also due to the configuration and closeness of the wall, I've seen big wakes and swells "bunch up" there, totally swamping the inside of a vehicle while launching a boat.

Best regards,
Roger

I can see that ramp getting nasty with a swell.....

Denis-Yeah, that was me. Were you on the rocks? Did you see a flock of black and white critters following me? Hope you fared better.....
